Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Group Business Director.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Develop understanding in the principles of buying media across all channels.
  • Look to establish and build relationships with junior level media owners.
  • Attend all media owner presentations and departmental WIPs within the agency
  • Managing loading of bookings into the BMD system with support of Executives/Managers



In six months:

  • A mastership of BMD – the universal invoicing and reporting system of media agencies.
  • Ability to run all reporting from BMD – expenditure, post analysis etc
  • Track all positioning and placement of media to ensure they match bookings.
  • Buy and manage Regional TV bookings plus all other offline mediums e.g. radio, print, OOH with support of Executive


In 12 months:

  • Continue growth and further development opportunity
  • Successfully manage the Regional TV campaigns, progressing towards Metro TV
  • Progressing towards managing your own clients under the supervision of the exec/manager
  • Built strong and respected relationships with clients and media owners
  • Made positive impact on MEC business and our clients business and developed your media buying skillset


Responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing a reliable, trustworthy and supportive role with all team members.
  • Loading of bookings into the BMD system with support of Executives/Managers
  • Track all positioning and placement of media to ensure they match bookings.
  • Responsible for material instructions top media and liaising with creative agencies to ensure their delivery
  • Assist team in inputting weekly campaign tracking for TV buying
  • Answer all account queries in timely manner
  • Compile post analysis of completed campaigns

  • Demonstrate a basic-level of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Be curious, never hesitate to ask
  • Keep up to date with industry changes and the latest practices and procedures
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail with good levels of accuracy
  • A strong numeric aptitude – Don’t be afraid of numbers!
