Overview of job 

To provide a support role in the delivery of communication planning across digital and to ensure smooth account coordination, including internal and external communication.

Responsible developing media plans to maximise value for clients and ensure activity is optimised

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Group Director.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • You will have formed strong relationships with all the people in your team
  • Set up meetings with each key media vendor to gain an overview of the assets and products they can offer clients

In six months:

  • Guiding day-to-day management and implementation for digital team clients
  • Ability to understand the negotiation process and ability to drive results for clients
  • Trained on the nominated training
  • Contribution to client–facing presentations
  • Be an advocate for innovation, identifying first to market opportunities to drive brand growth
  • Ensuring Co-ordinator is being trained and managed appropriately

In 12 months:

  • Leading Digital recommendations, implementation planning, negotiation and buying across
  • Able to demonstrate the use of Mediacom’s planning approach (2020 Communications) and proprietary tools in developing a client response
  • Build a trusted advisor relationships with key clients across the team portfolio

 

Responsibilities of the role:

  • An understanding of the role of communication and media principles for digital channels
  • Perform analysis of media consumption and media trending developments using appropriate tools
  • Manage plans and plan updates
  • To be aware of and be able communicate media trends and developments
  • Assists and pro-actively seeks opportunities to present media recommendations, competitive and other client facing opportunities
  • Works with the investment team to prepare planning costs
  • Work with counterparts to share best practice and reapply learnings from other business units where appropriate
  • Accurate and regular reporting, including; competitive, budget control, and other adhoc reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control on all outputs to client
  • Meets all deadlines as agreed
  • Attends WIPS with client and partners and assists in delivering of the action points
  • Learns and embraces the Mediacom vision and behaviours
  • Upholds client and Mediacom confidentiality at all times
  • Briefing suppliers with thoroughness and consistency to produce plans with the best digital opportunities for MediaCom clients
  • Delivering against the agency’s defined digital trading strategies and ensure that further savings a made for clients through excellent negotiation
  • Ensuring the delivery of all campaigns with timely optimisations to deliver against the client objectives
  • Full post analysis of campaigns to report performance, optimisation and value delivery.
  • Works with Manager in developing buying strategies, utilising all available research and tools at their fingertips.
  • Attends media briefings from client.
  • Attends all client WIPs ensuring all relevant campaign/market updates is/are communicated.
  • Be an expert in digital channels and share expertise with broader department and agency.
  • 100% proficiency and accuracy with the financials; budget control, contract management, account queries, loading, MI’s and pro-formas.
  • Thoroughly checks all pro-formas and provides to IP&I Manager for sign-off prior to invoicing.
  • In conjunction with the Managers assists in the training and development of IP&I assistants.

  • Good administrative and organisational skills.
  • To brief suppliers with thoroughness and consistency to ensure data informed media plans utilising all available research and tools.
  • To ensure the delivery of all campaigns with timely optimisations to deliver against the client objectives.
  • Perform full post analysis of campaigns to report performance, optimisation and value delivery.
  • Demonstrates financial and numerical astuteness.
