MediaCom | Media Coordinator

MediaCom are looking for a Media Coordinator. This role is exposed to multiple industries and aims to provide support across all team aspects, as well as being responsible for a set number of day to day deliverables. The position requires acute attention to detail, an analytical approach to your work and a collaborative attitude.


Reporting of the role

This role reports to the A&I Senior Executive and A&I Manager.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Familiarized yourself with the clients’ industry, position within the market and most importantly their various brands & products
  • Responsibility on regularly contributing to the clients’ campaign reporting requirements

In six months:

  • Client exposure through WIPs and similar ongoing meetings including quarterly presentations
  • The ownership of the reporting processes across clients that you will work on
  • Responsibility regarding the invoicing process

In 12 months:

  • The ability to lead a media buy with support from members of the team
  • Empirical knowledge of clients’ campaign performances and be able to lead sections of client facing presentation
  • Successfully delivered on all invoicing and reporting requirements without any issues


Responsibilities of the role:

Campaign Reporting: 

The Coordinator has the responsibility of reporting on the delivery and overall effectiveness of the advertisements that have ran. With the help of the wider team and other departments, the assistant is actively involved in the below processes:

  • Audience Delivery
  • Giving insights into these results and reporting these back to the client.
  • Vouching and collection of screengrabs / proof of posting.

Invoicing:  Client invoicing happens once a month and will involve the below areas:

  • Loading bookings and managing the booking system
  • Checking monthly Proformas and Invoices
  • Recording / filing all of the above in a manner that is easy to understand by the client
  • Chasing up and reconciling account queries

Television Dubs and Client Material Instructions: You will be in charge of managing all aspects of our clients TV material despatch and instruction process. This will involve acute attention to detail, good communication and at times working under pressure  

Other internal operations:

  • Maintain a high level of quality control on all internal / external outputs to client
  • Meets all deadlines as agreed
  • Attends  all required internal WIPS, unless agreed otherwise with manager, and issue the summary of next steps and assist in delivering the action points
  • Learn and embrace the Mediacom vision and values
  • Governance – is fully compliant on all Mediacom and Client policy and procedures
  • Upholds client and Mediacom confidentiality at all times


What you will need:

  • This position is best suited to a candidate who has 0-1 years’ experience. Ideally suited to a University graduate but this is not a prerequisite.
  • We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic person, who identifies with our behaviours and wants to work in a unique, exciting industry. 
  • Due to the nature of response-focussed planning, the candidate must also have an analytical mind and have an acute attention to detail
